Facepark is a self-confessed stupid idea, bringing the clichés of social media platforms back into the real world in an offensively literal way. “Instead of wasting our lives in front of the computer, we choose to waste our lives in the park. At a specific time, in a very specific location, without a very specifc reason.” Of course the campaign is Diesel’s way of highlighting the joys of the digital world in a rather ironic fashion. Facepark owes its appeal to the outstanding success of the social media platforms they spoof. Their motto ‘be stupid’ is testament to the fun, silly and engaging nature of the project. Dig it.
